Okay now, you must admit, this Lindt Pistachio Filled Milk Chocolate Bar has some seriously nice looking packaging, so nice that it is a true invitation for a taste. I got lured in! I am too weak, phew! How could I resist purchasing this? IMPORTANT, please note, Muffy is not included with the chocolate purchase, he is actually one of my best friends, BONUS, a fluffy friend who I can do cuddle feasts with. Ohhhhh. I have three fluffs, all of them the same breed, Pomeranians. Playful, loving, flirtatious, devious, and mischievous are perfect ways to describe their persona. Muffy is the oldest. He is off-white as you can see from the photo. Then there is Molly. She is completely black, pretty rare for a Pom. Lastly, little Melia, and I am not exaggerating with the word little. She weighs 2.2 lbs, and is completely snow white. Melia is one year old but that is her fully-grown adult size. She is quite delicate, and therefore is treated as such. All three of my Pomeranians are wonderfully behaved, especially with me but that is not the case when it comes to other dogs. Muffy continuously wants to start fights with dogs four times his size. Molly on the other hand only looks for holes in the ground to dig, and petit Melia mostly helps Muffy with the combats. Since she is so miniature in size that most dogs end up being at least seven times bigger than her. Oh, I almost forgot. When Melia is not bullying other dogs and even sometimes humans, she is too busy flirting. I have to catch her in the act. In the meantime, I will post photos of chocolates with my other two fluff balls posing. On no, I am off topic once again now but I have an excuse, a really good one, Muffle. He is now eyeing me with dirty looks. Regardless, here is the final review. Firstly, you must check out the ingredient list at the bottom of the page. I am not impressed. The very first ingredient listed is sugar, if you then scroll down, palm oil, and artificial flavour make the list. Oh boy. There go the points in ------------------------ minus state. Let’s search for any positive aspects, hmmmm the packaging. The chocolate bar does not taste like pistachio at all. I would not have thought that this is what the flavouring was if I was doing a blind test. The nut flavour is prominent due to the texture but I would not be able to tell what kind it is. Despite this downfall, overall, it is a nice chocolate bar. It actually tastes like a regular bar, which would then not justify the exaggerated price tag. I think it is overly priced for something that is quite ordinary. It does melt smoothly but the aftertaste is sugary. This is not a grown up chocolate but more for kids, ones who love sugar infested sweets but at the same time, would not be able to afford the price tag. I am sorry Lindt but this Pistachio filled milk chocolate bar is just not working. Perhaps if some ingredients are replaced and a more prominent pistachio flavour is introduced, I could then see this being a hit. Otherwise, as the famous saying goes, “Hit the road Jack!”
