GODIVA MASTERPIECES CHEFS-D’CHEUVRE ASSORTED CHOCOLATES Dark Chocolate (Dark Wrapper) – Divine, sugar is equalized, amount of dark cacao is sufficient to make the chocolate work. Milk Chocolate (Yellow Wrapper) – Prominent hazelnut taste; you would know the kind of nut utilized in this chocolate even if you were blind-folded. Unfortunately, the sugar is overpowering. Overall, this bon bon tastes artificial and appalling. Milk Chocolate (Orange Wrapper) – Dreadful and incredibly glucosed; chemically taste induced. Gruesome. Prior to us moving on to the overall rating, please take a moment and look at this despicable ingredient list below. Godiva should be ashamed of themselves. Their chocolates are a scam. People generally get ill from consuming fake garbage like this. I can see modified oils in all sorts of forms in this bon bon as well as sugar in a variety of different wordings. Shame on Godiva. There is even one with caramel, how enticing. Nevertheless, the chocos taste repulsive, synthetic, oily, over toxic with sugared diabetes. I would not pay more than 25 cents for the whole box. Oh, I almost forgot, the ingredient list. Are you kidding me??? Fraud written all over Russel Stove. You ought to be apologetic to the public with this ingredient list. The company is slowly contributing in providing people with diseases. Let’s count the different forms of sweeteners incorporated in this garbage: sugar, corn syrup, brown sugar, refiners’ molasses, maple sugar, glucose-fructose, and honey. To make matters worse, the company had the nerve to add even more sweetened type of foods such as apricots, cherries, and raisins. Is Russel Stove secretly trying to give people every ailment in the book? This company is a hoax! The cacao beans could be of higher quality but I am more forgiving in this case, as every ingredient on the list can be pronounced. In addition, there are also only seven ingredients in total. Yeahhh! A breath of fresh air!!! What is Rafaello Chocolates thinking? Also, tapioca Starch, ahhhh, I want to pull my hair out. Ingredients as such should be forbidden from being thrown in confections. Is it that hard to make a chocolate taste great with just a few kinds of foods? Why do certain companies only think in monetary value? I can almost guarantee you that the CEO’s of these companies are never consuming their own chocolates. How about a bet, $10.00. I dare to be challenged! It was actually hard for me to complete this review since the taste test was outright ugly, vile, nasty, revolting, off-putting…… ChocolisciouslyDelightful Rating: 0.1 / 5.0 Ingredients: Desiccated Coconut, Modified (Palm, vegetable) Fats, Sugar, Whole Almond, Skim Milk Powder, Whey Powder, Wheat Flour, Tapioca Starch, Soy and/or Sunflower Lecithin, Flavourings, Sodium Bicarbonate, Salt NUTRITION FACTS Per 4 Pieces (40 g) Amount Daily Value % Calories 250 Fat 19 g 30 % Saturated 12 g 59 % (Saturated and Trans) Trans 0 g Cholesterol 2 mg Sodium 50 mg 2 % Carbohydrate 15 g 5 % Fibre 2 g Sugars 13 g Protein 3 g Vitamin A 0 % Vitamin C 0 % Calcium 4 % Iron 2 % FERRERO ROCHER FINE HAZELNUT CHOCOLATES Amazing as always but I would like to focus a bit on these ingredients that actually make my skin crawl. Let us all sit down now, and talk about the wheat flour? Really, is flour not for baked goods, or to thicken soups (which is also so wrong)… Also, anhydrous milk fat??? Hmmmm, shall I continue? Ferrero is without a doubt a delicious type of a chocolate, but why are the ingredients so ghastly? I am mortified with Ferrero. This is a large company; do they not have any shame in putting such awful gunk in their chocolates? I would never be able to personally sell something that I would not be consuming myself. This is called deception! ChocolisciouslyDelightful Rating: 3.1 / 5.0 Ingredients: Milk Chocolate, Sugar, Cocoa Butter, Cocoa Mass, Skim Milk Powder, Anhydrous Milk Fat and Sunflower Lecithin, Vanillin, Hazelnuts, Sugar, Modified Palm Oil, Wheat Flour, Whey Powder, Cocoa, Soy and Sunflower Lecithin, Sodium Bicarbonate, Salt, Vanillin Contains: Milk, Hazelnuts, Wheat (Gluten), Soy NUTRITION FACTS: NOT DISCLOSED WITH THIS PACKAGING REESE MINIATURES PEANUT BUTTER CUPS CANDY Good old-fashioned Reese Peanut Butter Cup. Nothing ever changes. Their bon bons throughout the holidays taste identical, for the obvious reason that it is supposed to be an iconic chocolate. If you would like a surprise or something new to taste, refrain from Reese then. On another note, what is up with Polyglycerol Polyricinoleate, Dextrose, Soy, come on, I am getting really tired of this kind of stuff in chocolate. I am heartbroken mostly for the young children, and elderly generation who are devouring junk as such without knowing as to what is in their chocolates. Now this is harsh! I like the minimalistic taste. I am grateful that someone is finally conscious about the amount of sweetener that is really needed. Let’s emphasize A HINT! Most of the time, this quanitity is adequate, and just enough to prevent the chocolate from being bitter, no need to throw buckets of sweeteners in the mix. As for the taste, unfortunately, Le Gourmet Chocolates have greatly failed. Am I judging bon bons that are years and years old? What is the word I am looking for……STALE! The chocolate itself is tasty, and delightful, but it is hard to overlook that sugar and modified oils are in fact quite prominent on the ingredient list. If Kinder spent some sleepless nights altering their ingredient list to reflect healthier choices, who knows what the possibilities might be. Perhaps best chocolate ever made? Got you thinking! Okay, okay, I am getting carried away here, but you understand my direction. Get going Kinder, be one of the first large companies to be health conscious about your chocolates. I am rooting for you!
