4/14/2016 JUST A BIRTHDAY CARD TO SHARE - SORRY CHOCOLIGHTFUL PEOPLE BUT YOU CAN STILL SOULFULLY INDULGE.Read NowHello my wonderfully beautiful readers. This is something a bit different that I am posting today, and not at all chocolate related. Firstly, I would like to mention that I am going to begin a secondary blog which will consist of ALL healthy living material. Topics included are: amazing nourishment, exercise variations, mindfulness, essential oils, vitamins, herbs, teas, spices, immune well-being, brain power, heart love, healthy home, laughter, amusement, curiosity, and most of all, peace with one self. These subjects will all be incorporated into my upcoming and exciting new blog. Every single person is built differently, starting from the soles of their feet, all the way up to the last strand of hair. My blog will focus on helping, and guiding everyone to be the best person that they can possible be, meaning possessing incredible strength both physically, and mentally. A person could have a chemistry imbalance or body ailments due to various of factors such as accidents, illnesses, lack of nutrition and sleep, or emotionally difficult times in their lives. Whatever the reasons, I am going to support, and guide people to become whole, content, and most importantly, strong. Not everybody has to be a “skinny minny” in a size 2, nor have straight, shiny hair, nor have their nails perfectly painted, or be tanned and the list goes on and on. If a person is fit starting with the mind, the body will certainly follow. Exuberance and Energy is Beautiful “I love today” is my motto, and every day should possess something positive. Please be on the lookout of when I announce the opening of my brand new Enchanting Blog.
Okay, I am carried away once again now, back to the crafted card. I love to craft for all of you chocolate monsters out there who thought that I just sat around, and ate chocolate all day long. Actually, yes, I sometimes do that, you got me; is that not the whole idea? He He He! I have been caught, several times, sitting on floor, indulging in chocolate which ends up all over my face. Like a two-year-old child. When I am caught, I try to hide the evidence, but seriously come on, it is “written” all over my face. Ahh, great joke, get it, get it! Can I really fool anyone, hmmm, perhaps not, but I enjoyed myself in the process. Moving on. I made this birthday card a few days ago for a very dear family member of mine. There is nothing written inside the card, just affirmations which send out the message more than I could myself put in words. I hope that you enjoy it. I used several unique techniques to put the card together. If you are interested in what I utilized, please let me know, and I will make a list all of the supplies. Thank you very much for your support. I do not say that enough, but am so grateful from the bottom of my heart. XOXOXO Soriah

Hello chocolate world!!! Today’s topic is unfortunately not chocolate related, but I PROMISE, you will not be disappointed. I am so happy to announce something that is so close to my heart, something warm and soft, something that makes me feel vibrant and alive, something you will not want to miss. You guessed correctly, cheesecake yummilisciousness. Here we go again, let’s sing now: Hello World in this huge universe, you make me happy, woozily, joyful, curious, and momentous, peaceful and most of all, hungry. Specifics here please: Hungry for chocolate, and cheesecake of course, two lovely food staples. I know what you are thinking, “What about all of the sugar Soriah,” well, as the famous saying goes, “we can think about it laaattttter!” LOL, balance is key when it comes to fuel for the body. Eat your greens in large quantities, and devour your desserts with care! Enough fooling around, now and as usual being carried away. Here it is: My story begins! I was at Trees Organic Coffee & Roasting House on Monday, April 4, craving a latte, and only that, nothing more. To my surprise, the Marzipan Cheesecake was still hanging around in their front decor. This is an item exclusively for the month of March. I was ecstatic. I quickly changed my mind, and purchased a slice of pure comfort on top of my incredibly particular type of a latte. I carried this slice home as if it was the largest diamond that you could ever find. I then went about my business as it was only 2:00 pm, the usual, exercising, working on a few projects, baking muffins, completely forgetting that I had this piece of gemstone, quietly sitting in my refrigerator. It was almost 9:00 pm when I could no longer take it. I decided that it was time to devour the Marzipan. I was so excited, like a little kid in Disneyland. Actually, most of the time, I am like a little kid in the world of Wonderland. I think that I will probably never really grow up, and that is perfectly fine with me. Anyhow, focus, let’s get back to the review. Please note that I did consume this delight yesterday, but made notes as I was enjoying it. The review is written today based on my endless pages of notes, he he he! The Marzipan slice of cheesecake looks absolutely beautiful. Super appetizing, and very attractive. The sliced almonds on top are so esthetically appealing. They truly add some type of class to the anytime-is a-good-time dessert. Moving forward to the flavor. I can certainly taste the marzipan. It is quite prominent in an enticing manner, and not overwhelming in the least bit. The sweetener is perfectly balanced, and is not overly abundant as is the case with most cheesecake slices that I have ever consumed. There is a bit of a grainy texture due to the marzipan, and a faint nutty taste which does not take away from the main act of the cheesecake, the marzipan. The nuttiness just sits in the background, but you do know it is there. The texture is extremely creamy, as expected since after all, it is a cheesecake. The difference between this one, and most that I have savoured is that the heavy aftermath where you feel lethargic, bulky and as though you have gained 100 lbs of lard is just not there. An hour later, I felt light as a feather. The crust pairs extremely well with the cheesecake, and only adds positive vibes to the already delicious piece of pure glee. It screams “I need to have the cake NOW”, a bit like a mad, possessed bumble bee. Great job!!!. I must also mention that the staff at Trees Organic Coffee & Roasting House, Arbutus Location in Vancouver, BC, Canada are absolutely amazing. They are super friendly and so welcoming. A little secret, shhhhh! This location probably makes one of the best lattes, if that is what you are into. I am sure that all of their locations have specialties that they are known for, but I still adore the Arbutus coffee shop. Last piece of my non-stop, intricate mind: I am in no way affiliated with the company, and am not paid for this post. I am just a very, very, very happy customer. I have been regularly going to Trees Organic Coffee & Roasting House for years now, and in my complete honesty, I have not once had a bad experience in terms of quality of desserts, beverages, and most importantly, staff. I highly recommend the place. The photographs that I took above make me crave a second slice, but I have a bit more willpower than that. Come on now, what are you guys thinking? Watch me ten minutes later, hopping in my car, straight to Trees. To be continued……….
