Hello delightful sweethearts, my name is Soriah, and I am an enormous lover of fine chocolates. Prior to me truly introducing myself, I would like to take the time and dedicate my whole blog to my beautiful, wonderful, caring, devoted, and always-has-your back type of a Tatko (father in Bulgarian), did I say ALWAYS! He taught me morality, discipline, hard-work, commitment, kindness, and the importance of family. I owe everything to this amazing man, who's smile illuminated the world. He was my sunshine! My Tatko - September 9, 1945 - July 9, 2016.

After getting that off my chest, allow me to up-close-and-personally introduce myself.

I enjoy strolling through charming towns or villages, and accidentally finding a hidden little gem situated in the corner, full of delicious chocos, just ready to be devoured. I realized that I had a great love for chocolates from a very young age, 6 to be exact, when my father would bring me back from his business trips Kinder Surprise Eggs and Nutella to eat as I please. From that point onwards, I began to taste all sorts of chocolates, you name it, I tried it. However, I ended up developing a richer taste for the finer kinds, the ones that come in a beautifully wrapped box with a pink ribbon on top. I, at last, decided that I would like to share my adoration for chocolates with the rest of the world, and began a journey of immense enjoyment, chocolate sampling and rating from all parts of this universe. I document the places that I visit, the chocolates that I devour, and the ingredients of each indulgence. I rate each item in an unbiased manner as I am not associated or sponsored with any chocolate company. This blog will also help and guide you when in hunt for an extra special decadence, whether it is for holidays, birthdays, weddings, an extraordinary occasion, or perhaps just to make your day marvellous and sweet. You will always be able to revert back to this blog for places to go, and things to try.

When I am not in search of yummmmmilisciously new chocolates to get my paws on, I spend my time studying nutrition and medicine. I have a passion for food, and its effect on the human body. Silly me, since I did not think that I would be busy enough with my current curriculum, I signed myself up for the one and only, Class 1 Commercial Driver's License Program. Who would have thought that my social life would be even more so non-existent than it was before? Nevertheless, learning is never a waste. Let me provide a bit of history for you on the unconventionality of a female wanting to drive trucks. Up until springtime of 2018, I was still very much immersed and half-way through my 4 year study in the field of anthropology. At one point during my program, I began to feel quite restless, and my desire to continue studying this topic greatly plummeted. I assumed that I was overly exhausted and needed some time off. I did just that, during the summer months of 2018. Upon returning to my studies in September of 2018, I realized that this dreadful feeling and lack of ambition was still lingering around, and unfortunately even stronger than when I initially left. I knew at that point forward, that it is time to exit, and finally follow something that I have been wanting to do for a while, something unconventional, something that only 3% of women think about signing up for. Ahhhh, I wanted to be a commercial truck driver. You heard it, that is right. I did not want to waste another hour working on something that had lost its full desire within me, anthropology. I dropped out of university immediately, and at the same time, signed myself up for the Class 1 Professional Driving Program. I am certain now that I began studying anthropology more so for others, and my partner than myself. It was not conventional to be anything other than studious in my family's perception. I eventually came to the realization that every person's life is solely their own, and one should spend every second of their waking hour trying to pursue whatever it is that makes their heart beat a reality. Regardless of how scary or big it might be, it is never scarier than the regrets of not having tried at all. "God placed the best things in life on the other side of terror."

I am also a tennis player. I practice and train to compete in tournaments, not just to slap a ball. This sport is much-loved, and I hold utmost respect to players who go out there solo, play strategically on their own, and grind every ball down for up to 5, 6, or even 7 hours. This is the equivalent of doing sprints for that many hours in a row. How, how, why, how, when, how? Having said that, this is one of the reasons for my choice of favourite players listed below:
ATP Tour: Rafael Nadal, Novak Djokovic, Roger Federer, Kei Nishikori, Juan Martin del Potro, Marin Cilic, and Dominic Thiem.
WTA Tour: Angelique Kerber, Petra Kvitova, Karolina Pliskova, Dominika Cibulkova, Naomi Osaka, and Simona Halep. They are all a delight to not only watch but study from.

I have four furballs (dogs) that I am absolutely and utterly in love with. One of my boys is a German Shepherd from Germany, yes purebred, the other is an American German Shepherd, once again purebred and you guessed it, American. On the tiny side, I am a proud grand-mamma to one black and one white Pomeranian, both of which are miniatures. They all have wonderful personalities, and their own unique characteristics. I am a very lucky girl, as each one brings their own sparkle to my life. There is not a day that goes by where they do not make me grin at least a dozen times from ear to ear.

I have an adoration for travel. Anyplace is lovely but Italy is my weakness. It must be the air!!!!!

In conjunction with my passion for travel, my long-term goal has/is to be a commercial aviation pilot. This immense passion began approximately 20 years. I spent endless weekends at the airport watching the planes take-off and land. I have probably seen every documentary on aviation, watched all episodes of Mayday, even footage on being a flight attendant, aviation mechanic, and an air traffic controller. Anything related to airplanes is where my heart flutters the most. Nevertheless, my father had his own agenda for his daughter, and was set on me completing university to become either a lawyer or doctor. I did not want to disappoint my kindhearted father, and continued day-in and day-out with something that brought me very little joy. Ultimately, I stopped living for my father and started to live for me.
One life, and that happens to be yours.

I am a vegan foodie, yes, I do love to eat, and a whole lot of it!!! Alongside this healthiness, I have been devoted to exercise since my teen years. My go to preference is weight lifting. No, it does not make you look bulky, just amazing and fit if that is the look you are going for. Oh, bonus tip here, your metabolism increases substantially, even while sitting. Reason being, you now have muscles that are a calorie burning machine. What does all of that convert to? Well, you can eat more chocolate silly, what else, he he he! Oh, Yeahh!

Since I still have your attention, let’s further delve. I am always on the lookout for new herbs to treat ailments with for either family members or myself. I am a true believer in the power of nature. Vitamins and essential oils are also a priority on my wellness list alongside the herbs. Tip – try rosemary essential oil for anxiety. It really works (sorry to have sounded like an infomercial)!

I have a huge urge to bake, all day, every day, any day. It is something that I find incredibly relaxing. I love to create pretty desserts and best of all, consume them whole. This devouring normally happens within minutes for something that took me over an hour to make. Trust me though, it is quite worth it.

On another note, I am a devoted reader. Books are my thing. I do own an e-reader but still so much more prefer the smell of pages. I do not think that any technical device can capture that experience. I am all ears, and like a sponge, eager to learn, try something fun.
My crazy obsession is planning using agendas and journals. I have an iPad, laptop, tablet, and a phone, but never seem to find more comfort than crossing off my to-do list tasks on paper. Like my own made-up quote goes, “I am organizing my organizers.” Trust me when I say that I frequently get teased about this from family members. I just cannot refrain myself, I must cross it off that list, it is an addiction. I need help!!! Having said that, using my crafts to decorate my planner is a huge perk. Just as well, I love utilizing my markers and find any excuse to use them. Who else loves felts, raise your hand!

I try as much as possible to live my life in a sustainable manner. Being green and conscious about everything that I do is very important to me. There is one planet that we are all situated on at this very moment, the only one that is currently capable of providing us with something simple that we often take for granted - life. Instead of being destructive towards it, why not treat it with kindness and respect. Why do anything other than worship it.

I am an antique junkie and thoroughly get so much enjoyment strolling through little markets or garage sales to check out lost treasures. As the old saying goes, “what is one man’s trash is someone else’s treasure.” Classic cars are a pleasure for me. I make the time to visit at least five car shows per year, and do drive sometimes hundreds of miles to see them. It is worth it, trust me on this one. I was very close to purchasing a 1959 Chevrolet Bel-Air as my everyday vehicle. One day.......................

Despite my gruesome tennis game, I am a true girly girl at heart who loves sparkles, pink, nailpolish, shoes, handbags, perfumes, and most of all, costume jewellery. Rings are my go-to that never disappoint.

I love photography, especially of food. I find food photographs absolutely stunning. Tomatoes should be on the cover of Glamour magazines, Raspberries on Mademoiselle, and Watermelon on Cosmopolitan (okay, you get it). Who needs models when you have some papayas or mangoes that you can photograph. Just providing you with ideas.

Last but not least, I own a Class A Diesel Pusher, 45-foot Motorhome with a Tag Axle, 4 slide-outs, and a 525 ISX Engine. Yes, it is a beast. Going uphill – no problem, driving beside a huge truck, what truck, you do not even feel the turbulence. Can you tell that I loooovvve my motorhome? My bus’s name is Gus, and he will assist me with seeing the world, one place at a time. First stop, my own continent - North America.

I love nature. It is something that always puts a beam on my face, and magically assists me with making perfect decisions. It must the birds, or the trees, or the ocean, or the mountains or, or, or… This is my recommendation for the best remedy to all problems in life, nature and well, okay, okay, chocolate. There, you have it, stop the guilt and tummy filled!
