The name is absolutely adorable. Seriously, whoever though of this is genius! How original and lovable. I am mad for piglets and chickens, who knows why? One animal oinks and the other cocododle dooos. Two of the most delightful sounds. If I had a farm, I would definitely include these two for pets. I currently have three Pomeranians, who are by far my best friends. They never show any judgmental behaviour, do not talk back or yell, are content with what they have, and are always wagging their tail happily regardless of the circumstances. They are also very loyal. I cannot ask for better companionship. I will be including my babies in some of my pictures as they will model alongside the chocolates. I call them the 3 M’s as their names are Muffy, Molly and Melia. Awe!!! Okay, back on track now, the review. This is an outstanding bar. The chocolate is of quality, and once it has disappeared in your palate, the peanut butter flavour emerges. It is a very soft almost like a creamy spread. Nothing is grainy here, and no bitterness whatsoever. There is a salty aftertaste which balances the sugar. Truly a good idea. I love the combination of chocolate and peanut butter, so much that I have been caught in the past more times than I can remember scooping a chocolate spread with a gallop of peanut butter for a yummmmiliscious bite!!! Now we are talkin'. A small flaw in the truffle bar though is the palm oil ingredient. They should have just stuck with more cocoa butter. It would have even tasted better, if that is possible. Lastly, why does it say on the ingredient list “natural vanilla?” “Natural”, is vanilla considered unnatural? I do not know the answer to this but what I do know is that natural means nothing on labels. There is no standard definition for the term “all natural” or “natural” when used in processed foods. This leaves it wide and open for ‘interpretation.’ The term is only regulated on meat and poultry. A natural product in the processed food department can be almost anything, genetically modified, full of pesticides, made with corn syrup, additives, preservatives, and artificial ingredients. What I do know is that it does not sound right, very odd if I must add. Enlighten me please on this topic by sending an email or comment in the comment box below. Regardless of the contradictory and unfavourable ingredients, the rest on the list are perfectly fine as I can read and pronounce every single word. This chocolate bar is so delicious that I am reaching for seconds. Now I know what the name implies, once you taste the Hagensborg Truffle Pig Peanut Butter Chocolate, it is almost unavoidable to become a little pig, truffle pig that is. I must admit, I became one today.
