Cococo Chocolatiers is a company based out of Calgary, Alberta, Canada. They claim to be expert manufacturers and retailers as well as portray to have award-winning chocolates. The company has 34 retail stores across Canada and the United States, not too bad, they must be doing something right. Their moto is “Good Clean Fun”.
Directly from their website, the following entails: “Good …means extraordinary flavours and chocolate quality.
…means food clean (simple ingredients, no junk) and planet clean (fair and sustainable).
…means happy branding and an easy consumer choice for all ages.
Sounds good, especially with the simple ingredients and no junk food added. I really appreciate companies that are conscious about their ingredient list. It seems as though our food chain in general has, and is becoming more and more synthetic, man-made, artificial, and not safe for human consumption. Our bodies are not meant to ingest majority of the additives, preservatives, pesticides, herbicides, fertilizers, and to generalize it all; chemicals. To top it off, our food-chain today has too much of the ingredients that are supposed to be ingested in limited amounts such as sugar, salt, and saturated fat. Where did we go so wrong? I am very conscious about what I put in my body since it determines whether I will feel great, energetic, and brain clear or tired, dizzy, in pain, with brain fog lingering on. Food is such an important factor in a human’s life that the only other necessity which prevails is sleep. This lesson is free of charge, he he he. Okay, I will go straight to the review now. The Cococo milk chocolate with almonds is actually very tasty. It is hard to tell from their unappealing packaging. Despite the fact that sugar is the first ingredient on the list, the chocolate is surprisingly not overly sweetened. That is a pleasant “revelation.” Finally! I took half a bite from each square, and I already have one whole almond in my mouth. Cococo has not been cheap with their ingredients. The chocolate itself melts very smoothly with a subtle taste of the vanilla. This is how chocolate should taste. I am assuming that this will appeal to all ages, not just children with their love for sugar. I never know why chocolate has to be so sweet to the point that it is really not pleasant anymore. I can also taste the powdered whole milk. That allows for a prominent milky flavor. The smell of this chocolate is traditional. To generalize it, this is s a modest but yet lovely chocolate. I like the simplicity. It works!!!
