Milka Chocolatier, finally, I got my hands on one of these, phewww. I realize that it is not normally this difficult to find the Milka brand but for some reason, it was for me. I was on a wild duck goose chase for Milka. Of course I happen to eventually find it in a specialty food shop, despite the fact that we all know this chocolate is actually quite common. There is nothing crazy different about it, not even the wrapping. Just a good old-fashioned presentation that perfectly reflects the company. Milka is a Swiss brand which originated over a century ago, 1901 to be exact.

Milka was finally manufactured worldwide by Mondelez International (formerly known as Kraft Foods), a US confectionery company beginning as of 2012. This universal manufacturing intially began in 1990. For a little over 100 years though, Milka has been mainly produced in Lorrach, Germany, where more than 140,000 tonnes of chocolate was created just in the year 2012 alone. Wow, impressive!!! Milka also produces chocolate-covered cookies and biscuits. Moving on, history lesson done, tasting time to come!

It is a very simple chocolate, no bells and whistles, no nuts, sprinkles, fruit of any sort, no crazy ingredients such as matcha, chilli, goji berries (which by the way, I actually love). This is a chocolate bar for all, especially people who appreciate life from a minimalistic approach. I am pretty sure that even the elderly would enjoy this bar, and so do I so far! Rhyme delight! It has a superb melt, the bar itself is quite addictive. I certainly could not stop at one square. The sweetness is at a level just enough to satisfy anyone's need for sugar, without the overwhelming factor of making you feel like you are diabetic. This is a fine chocolate bar. There is no tardiness of any sort but a whole lot of smoothness. Oh my, I just had my last bite, yes, it is all gone. How did this happen? I know, Milka made a great choco. Switzerland, truly the land of yoghurt, cheese, chocolate, and milk. I am completely satisfied. I hate to admit this but if there was a second bar hidden somewhere, I would have most likely devoured that as well. For all of you out there who want to lose a few pounds, do not purchase any food that you know you will not have any control over. My assumption is cookies, cake, muffins, ice cream, chocolate, chips, all that bad stuff that makes people feel glorious, fantastic, marvellous. Unfortunately, this pleasant feeling only lasts for a glimpse of a second, but the aftereffect leaves one full of nothing but guilt and extra bulk of fat. I always wonder is it really worth it? Instead, why not purchase some fruit and drizzle your own homemade chocolate sauce on top. All you need is cacao powder, coconut oil/cacao butter, and a sweetener of your choice. I would opt for maple syrup, date sugar, coconut sugar, and if you are not vegan, raw honey. From there forward, you just need to eat; no guilt! Anyhow beautifuls, that is my review for the day. Affordable but still Savory

This blog page is dedicated to inexpensive chocolates that are continuously, to this day, enjoyed daily by many chocolate lovers out there. I still happily delve my taste buds into a good old-fashioned, so tasty, and yet simple Mr. Goodbar. To top it off, the cost allows for a much "Sweeter" satisfaction on your fuller wallet!
